Nagoya is served with a simple yet effective subway system which can get you to almost anywhere in the city you need to go. Trains run every several minutes between 05:30 until around 00:30am. Fares range from 200Yen to 320Yen. A one-day subway pass is also available for 740Yen (600yen at weekends).

Yurika pre-paid cards
The Yurika travel cards can be purchased from the ticket machines in the subway stations. They are pre-paid cards that can be used for both the subway and city buses in Nagoya. The higher the price of the card, the more “extra value” you can get. For Example, the 5600Yen card costs only 5000Yen to buy, giving you 600Yen of free subway use.
