Kintetsu Passe

About: This lively 9 story shopping complex can be found at the at the enterance to the Kintetsu train line, next to the Meitetsu station. It has a much younger feeling than Nagoya Takashimaya and so is very popular with the youth of Nagoya. The basement has an excellent array of fine foods, hot and cold and a convienient supermarket. the 1st to the 8th floors are a mix of Mens and Womens fashion, sunglasses, shoes and accessories leading up to Towers Records on the 9th floor. Here you will be able to find a choice of English Magazines, very reasonably priced too!

Meitetsu Shopping Centre

About: Above the busy Meitetsu train tracks the Meitetsu Department floor can be found. The main building of 3 includes the B2 (trains) and B1 (Foods and Sweets) levels, there are 12 floors in total, the top a cafe and beer garden during the summer months.  There is a duty Free counter on level 6 for overseas visitors and the 9th floor is where to find the restaurants. The young building has a tennis center on the rooftop and floors 1-6 cater for the young female (floors7-11 = parking). The mens building stocks as you would expect mens attire for the first 5 floors with the 6th home and Interior. The Meitetsu Grand hotel occupies floors 11-18.

Nagoya Takashimaya – Shopping Department

About: Located in the famous ‘Twin Towers’ that are Nagoya Station. You cannot miss Takashimaya as it literally is that station. A huge shopping complex -12 floors of clothes, accessories, lights, cards, gifts, bags, cooking utensils, toys and on the 12th floor, a great bookstore with a huge variety of English books/magazines and publications.

Midland square

About: Officially named the “Toyota Mainichi building”, it’s a huge new skyscrpaer located on the main road, just outside and running parallel to Nagoya station. Standing higher than the ‘Twin towers of Nagoya station, the building which was completed in 2007, is the 5th tallest in Japan. Inside you will find over 50 brand name stores, 2 car showrooms and also a movie theater.
